#11 Synchronized heart implants

Keep a little bit of your loved one with you at all times. This would be an implant which has some external visual element which synchronized the heart beat between two humans. I imagine it as a progression of the wedding ring.

#12 Cuddle Tech

Line of clothing and implements to interact with digital communication [empathetic email, snuggle for Skype conversations, cradle for phone conversations with your child, a fluffy collar for your private conversation with your loved one] I imagine these devices as assistive design pieces which would not necessarily incorporate technology but reimagine how you interact with the device through which you communicate with people. Could an email sending sympathy be more meaningful if you were able to embrace the computer as you sent it?

#16 Jewellery For a Collective Ritual Experience

This jewellery would be synced across devices to the time each batch was finished production. At that time everyday each device would notify its user of it’s time and engage the group in a small action which allows the user to take comfort in the knowledge of each other person engaging in the same collective ritual experience as well as the production of the piece as a whole.

Prototype

#46 Tea Room.

A pair of wearable overcoats that can connect to each other to create a private space with desired ambiance. (Light + Sound)

A set of hard pads that protect the wearer. But if someone they trust is alone in the room with them the pads soften and conform to the body.

Prototype

#60 Tactile

Gloves that amplify the feeling of surface qualities to be more intense (not in a linear way, more internally noticeable (hot doesn’t go to burning etc)) A way to make more tactile and memorable physical interactions between people.

#63 Protest

A set of amplified speakers that will amplify the wearer's voice proportionally to how many people are holding hands together and speaking.

#74 Solitude Chamber

A beautiful pod to sit in that blocks all cell signals and radio frequencies. For some quality time with yourself.

#84 24/7time

Passive, long distance communication between two individuals.

#93 Tea Pack

Backpack brewing station that lets others make you a cup of tea!

#96 Sleep Presence

a bed which produces an imprint in response to a matching bed. Allows partners to feel presence in bed without bothersome snoring, noises, fidgeting etc.

#117 Embracer Suit

Suits covered in velcro to allow for prolonged secure embracing.
