#12 Cuddle Tech

Line of clothing and implements to interact with digital communication [empathetic email, snuggle for Skype conversations, cradle for phone conversations with your child, a fluffy collar for your private conversation with your loved one] I imagine these devices as assistive design pieces which would not necessarily incorporate technology but reimagine how you interact with the device through which you communicate with people. Could an email sending sympathy be more meaningful if you were able to embrace the computer as you sent it?

#23 Reality Checker

An exclusive device for VR inhabitants. Sits on the head, and using a rotating lidar, motion sensor and microphone shows what is happening outside of virtual reality. (Are there people nearby, are things moving toward you.) Has a pixel display that sends out messages if someone is near. Like "I am engaged in a very important conversation right now" and "please call back in virtual reality" also "Out for a walk."

#39 Voice Flipper

Makes adults sound like kids and vice versa. For improved intergenerational conversation.

#41 Disconnect Button

Scrambles communication connection between two people to create a sense of longing.

#57 Scrambler

A gasmask like apparatus that allows two people to speak and understand each other. But creates random noise via speakers to prevent everyone from even trying to listen in.

#58 Aug(s)

Worn non-proportional heads and arms that use underlying AI to discuss and argue with each other when they meet. Removing the necessity for noisy conversation between individuals. (But really providing much amusement.)

Prototype

#65 Debate

A device that projects arguments, points and evidence in the space between two people debating.

Prototype

#75 Time Out

Mutes conversation between people to allow time for introspection.

#78 I Need Some Space Suit

Creates a field around an individual in order to make others feel uncomfortable and want to take a step or two back.

#100 Entrance Music

Announces your presence and allows you to set the mood when you do so.
